Microsoft’s recent announcement about the Dynamics GP roadmap has stirred up some understandable concern in the GP community. Many customers are wondering what this means for the future of their business-critical systems. At Njevity, we want to be crystal clear: this announcement does not mean you need to leave Dynamics GP. We remain as committed as ever to supporting our Dynamics GP customers and partners who are committed to Dynamics GP.
We’ve Been Here Before, and We’re Still Standing Strong
Let’s be honest: Microsoft has made announcements like this before, and each time, the Dynamics GP community has continued to thrive. As a business that runs on Dynamics GP ourselves, we understand its importance to you. Your GP system is more than just software—it’s the backbone of your business. It’s where your finances, operations, and decision-making converge. And we know, just like you, that no other system on the market, not even Business Central, can replace the deep, vertical functionality that GP and its community of ISV Solutions offers.
Dynamics GP has staying power—no other system can replace its deep, vertical functionality.
Microsoft may hope that these roadmap changes will nudge you toward their other products, but here’s the truth: Dynamics GP has staying power. There are over 40,000 customers in the U.S. alone who depend on GP. Not only is there no viable alternative for most businesses, but there aren’t enough consultants in the world to migrate everyone from GP to another solution in the next decade.
We’re in This for the Long Haul
At Njevity, our mission has always been to improve the lives and success of our customers by providing exceptional experiences. We are the only VAR on Accounting Today’s 2024 VAR 100 List that is solely focused on Dynamics GP. Why? Because we believe in GP. We love GP. And we are here to support it—whether that’s through providing training, helping with system upgrades, or hosting your GP data in our secure, cloud-based solution, PowerGP Online.
At Njevity, we believe in GP. We love GP. And we are here to support it.
So, if you’re worried that this announcement marks the end of GP, take a breath. We’ve been through these waves of uncertainty before, and GP customers have continued to use and depend on their systems for 5, 10, even 15 years after Microsoft’s “end-of-life” date (we still have customers using FRx…and it still works!). We fully expect that pattern to continue well past 2031.
A Message to Our Partners
We also want to make something clear to our partners that are committed to Dynamics GP: we are not in competition with you. Our goal is to complement the incredible work that you do by offering enhanced services and solutions through products like PowerGP Online. Together, we can ensure that GP customers not only survive but thrive, regardless of what Microsoft does (and have they really done anything for you lately?). We’re all in this together, and we want to help you continue providing excellent support to your customers.
The Path Forward: Let Njevity Be Your Guide
Change can be unsettling, but it doesn’t have to be. We’re committed to being your long-term partner for GP support, whether that means guiding you through upgrades, hosting your GP system securely in the cloud, or providing hands-on support for your specific business needs. Our mission is simple: to simplify, inform, and delight with every interaction.
If you have concerns about the future of GP, let’s have a conversation. We’re here to listen, offer solutions, and help you make the best decision for your business. Remember, at Njevity, we’re in this with you—today, tomorrow, and for years to come.
